Quiddity seeks exceptional prose and poetry from emerging and established writers around the world.

Our editors prefer work that encompasses the quiddity of the human experience. We appreciate character driven prose that shows a strong sense of place and gritty fiction that leaves us feeling like a time travel paradox stuck outside during a thunderstorm. We are drawn to narrative poetry that connects to region and place, lyric poetry where sound and form expand the content, and where the content strives toward uncertainty. Regardless of genre, form, or subject matter, we find that work that carries the weight of beauty in language stays with us long after we finish reading it.

We look forward to reading your work.

Quiddity is pleased to announce that the submission period is now open for the Linda Hodge Bromberg Award for Poetry.

Linda and her husband, Mike Bromberg, were great supporters of the arts.  They were champions of Quiddity from its inception, and they left an indelible imprint on the world through their support and the lives they lived. In honor of the award’s namesake, we are looking for works of extraordinary quiddity, works that remain with us long after we have encountered them.
